Sparty Time

James and I cheered and cheered but it just wasn't enough against Penn State! Rats!

Mom and her little Spartan fan

James watches intently as the Spartans fight the Nittny Lions.

Tub Time

I hate to admit this but this was only James' seccond bath.  We had scrubbed his face and bum on occassion, but Mom was nervous about giving the full on bath...so Grandma did it!

Naked Baby

I mean come on - who doesn't love a naked baby?

Auntie Bri!

Brianne and John Paul came to visit central Indiana last weekend partially for my birthday and mostly to meet James and Gus.  We had such a great time and it was so good to see our friends from Chicago again, it had been too long. Thanks for making the trip Brianne & John Paul!

Random favorite pics

Some of my favorite pics that we just took around the house...

Birthday Date Night

My 31st birthday was yesterday and on Wednesday Andy took me out to dinner.  Mark and Elizabeth were nice enough to watch James.  He had a great time...napping...

Thanks for babysitting guys!

Visit to Michigan

We went to Michigan last weekend for Uncle John's wedding and so James got to meet the rest of the family along with some great friends.  Of course Mom and Dad were not on the ball with the camera - so we have to wait for the relatives to send us some pics.  We did snap some shots of James in his MSU gear and meeting the Brazelton girls - he loved being surrounded by the ladies.

GO STATE!!!

Thanks for stopping by ladies

Happy Halloween!

James went through his first Halloween yesterday, and I think his attitude can only be described as bored.  He was bored with his costume (although he looked adorable, thank you Ami), slept through the trick-or-treaters and overall showed little enthusiam for the day.  I am sure future years will be much different.

Grandma Garrison picked out this adorable outfit, James is simply too tired to appreciate it.
It must be hard being that adorable.

Gus decided he wanted to get in the spirit as well as a bears fan!

Finally the adorable frog makes his debut (costume compliments of Aunt Ami), but again his boredom is evident.

The Garrison Visit

Last week Grandma Garrison and Aunt Kate came to visit and help out.  They had great fun with James and Gus.

This is one happy Grandma

After Grandma gave James a bath,
he showed off his muscles for the camera.

Then Aunt Kate gave James a mowhawk, that turned out looking like antlers...
but James didn't seem to mind.

Elizabeth and Grace meet James...

Elizabeth came to Indy last weekend to visit - Grace was so adorable with James, she kept touching his head and giggling -too bad she was too quick for the camera to capture.  It was so great to see them and eat Elizabeth's great cooking...thanks E!

Grandma & Grandpa Hogan Visit!

Last weekend Andy went to Notre Dame for the football game, so Grandma and Grandpa Hogan came to stay and help me with the baby and the dog. Grandpa took all kinds of pictures and we finally got a couple to show everyone!

Grandpa loved holding James!!

So peaceful...

One Week Old

Today James is one week old, so we decided to try a little tummy time on the quilt Great Grandma Sandy made...well we tried anyway! We might need a couple more weeks more practice.

James Gregory Garrison

The day we have all been waiting for has arrived. James Gregory Garrison was born at 2:26am on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. He was a whopping 9 lbs 5 ounces and was 20.5 inches in tall. As we get settled, I will put some more pictures up and tell you about our adventures as parents, but here are the initial pics! Enjoy and thank you all for the well wishes.

The Crib is Here!!!

The crib finally arrived on Wednesday and Andy and I put it together tonight. There was hardly any cursing or pregnant impatient nagging! Now the nursery is almost complete. We just need some decorations on the walls before the big guy arrives.

Opening Day

Welcome to The Garrison Blog! This year has been filled with many changes for Andy and I. In October of last year, we traded our bustling city life in Chicago, IL for a growth opportunity in Indianapolis, IN.

Since then, we have purchased a house in the suburbs (yes, you read that correctly) and moved for the third time in a year, added an energetic, but incredibly sweet English Lab to our home, I have found a new job, and we are expecting our first baby in mere weeks!

The last 10 months have been a roller coaster, but we are very happy in our situation and can't wait to see what life throws at us next!
